Presently there are two Flight Inspection Providers in New Zealand, namely Airways Corporation of New Zealand Ltd, and Radiola Aerospace.

Airways Flight inspection has its roots in the original Government Air Department, whereas Radiola Aerospace is a private company. Below is a brief Summary of Flight Inspection in New Zealand covering both Airways and Radiola Aerospace.

1995 - Radiola Aerospace Limited

Radiola Aerospace Limited is a privately owned New Zealand company with a history of supplying navigation aids and communications systems to the military and civil aviation markets in New Zealand since 1950.

In December 1995 it signed a long-term contract to supply flight inspection services to the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF)

Today the Company operates two portable automatic flight inspection systems and has term contracts with several international customers.

A long-term contract has been signed with CASA for the validation of Instrument Flight Procedures.

Radiola has conducted numerous commissioning flight checks for navaids manufacturers Thales and Selex.

Aircraft: Leased aircraft as appropriate to the task.

FI Equipment: Commercially supplied, portable.

Capabilities: NDB, VOR, ILS (to CAT III), DME, VASI, PAPI, DF and GPS NPA.

Position Fixing: DGPS and digital theodolite

Special work conducted in any aircraft suitable for the application.

Positioning fixing:
1997 – 2004 GPs, Digital Radio theodolite, for Radio and visual aids.

2004 – RTK DGPS for Radio and visual aids

1998 – Differential GPs for GPs NPA.
