In 2009 he graduated in Telecommunication Engineering with a specialization in Radar Systems at “Sapienza” University of Rome, Italy. He has been working in ENAV since 2009 starting his activity in ATC surveillance systems performance evaluation department covering all types of surveillance systems: non-cooperative (PSR, SMR), cooperative (SSR, MLAT, ADS-B), and multi radar tracking for all phases of flight (ACC Multi Sensor Fusion) and ground movements (A-SMGCS). From 2012 to 2016 he was a member of Eurocontrol SUGCT (Surveillance User Group on Centre Tools) and participated to a common development, maintenance and implementation of the ‘Surveillance Analysis Support System for ATC Centre’ tool (SASS-C) in the ECAC area.
He joined the Flight Inspection and Validation department in 2016 and, qualified as Flight Inspection System Operator, he operated in a wide range of scenarios: Italy, Saudi Arabia, Malta, Cyprus, Croatia, United Arab Emirates, Eritrea, Kenya, Morocco, Romania, Uganda and Albania. Between 2018 and 2020 he was deviser and Team Leader of RIFIS (Repositionable IFP Flight Inspection System) project. RIFIS is a mobile Flight Inspection System for Rotorcraft IFP procedure Validation and through this project he gained a solid experience on system designing, GNSS receivers, antenna issues and positioning reference systems. In October 2018 he attended for the first time, as guest, the 50th ICASC meeting in Rome. During 2020 and 2021 he was responsible for a major upgrade (hardware and software) of all three ENAV P180 flight inspection systems, covering all phases of the project as technical requirement, administrative, technical and economic evaluation of supply offers, and technical ground and flight test after installation on P180.
Since July 2021 he is head of “Systems and Data” division in ENAV Flight Inspection and Validation Dept. being responsible for flight inspection systems maintenance and measurements correctness performed during flight inspection.
He is an ICASC member from September 2021.
